The Kona Kai located at the Plaza Inn, Kansas City, MO was known for relaxed Polynesian dining, an island vacation with authentic foods, exotic beverages and a beautiful decorated South Seas atmosphere. At the bar, you would have enjoyed Joe’s own creation, the Slightly Bitten cocktail for $1.50. It contained Trinidad rum and tropical fruits topped with an Aloha orchid.
From distant lands their Master Chef brought the broiling, roasting and dip boiling techniques from the French, English and Orient to create a thoroughly new concept in pleasureful dining.
