The Luau Hut inside the Dragon Seed Restaurant was located in Jackson Heights NY. Opened in April of 1949, The Dragon Seed was a popular restaurant and Tiki bar, owned by the engaging host George Bow. The cocktail menu featured drinks like a Hawaiian Daiquiri for $1.50, as well as the intriguing Aloha Orgy, a “festival and tropical interlude” designed for 4 people and priced at $6.00.The restaurant also had a full Chinese and Cantonese menu, and was said to be a favorite of Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille. The Dragon See closed in July 1993, making it a very very well loved restaurant and bar for over 44 years.
